What is Rhodes Grass ?

Rhodes Grass is also known as chloris Gayana , its a Summer Growing Grass Seeds , its a a stoloniferous Perennnial Grass , which provide a cover to soil for Erosion Control, Rhodes Grass has good adaptability to all kind of Soils , it can grow in non-fertile soil to fertile soil and brigalow clays, it just hard to establish in heavy creaking clay soils.

The Rhodes Grass do not bear drought and flood it required annual rainfall 600mm. it can tolerant to saltani soils and cool burning but less tolerate to frost.

Rhodes Grass is use to Feed Livestock as Direct Grass , Hay and also use to make bales.

Pakistan is growing large areas of Rhodes Grass and mainly its Hay/Bales are going to be export to different Arab countries and Asian countries.
